"The aim is to create, here in Britain, a really hostile environment for illegal immigrants." -- Theresa May 2012.
Amber, Red.... but when will it be green? Safe from deportation, duly because the 'hostile environment' isn't just aimed at the Windrush Generation but all immigration - of the prefix they're illegal via default until they can prove otherwise. Theresa May still flounted this immigration policy during Prime Minister Questions very recently; thus, no change. So, the Green light will never come; the traffic lights are malfunctioning yet the controller is neither in control nor able to control anything. As someone who reads Home Office documentation instead of watching TV satire, I can only applaud Rudd's skill at black comedy outbursts - her deadpan expression is outlandishly convincing.
I was the one who alerted Harriet Sherwood from the Guardian to affiliate the Church of England's quest to help the Windrush Generation. The concept was basically to get media exposure to this generation's ill plight; resulting from a discriminatory immigration policy which is devised and rigged against all migrant groups, who choose to travel and then attempt to get back home to the UK. Once the Home Office computer system sees a red flag, there's a knock-on effect which compromises citizenship, and basic human rights such as access to public services, employment and identity documentation, to widen the net... everyone is potentially at risk from the current government's 'hostile environment' immigration policy. Why apologies aren't acceptable on a human level, by the simple factor the 'hostile environment' remains inplace. Over the past few weeks the media has relentlessly embraced the human tragedies behind the abhorrent fascism at the core of our institution, furthermore those capable of reforming it -- don't. They don't because if they do the mantra of the Tory will be at stake, political ethos means more to fascists than peoples' liberties. Mark my words, the institutionised dysfunction is all too blatant at the echeon of power's fortress.
Again the 'hostile environment' indoctrinated policy was reported in Novemeber 2017, immigration cases were growing and so apparent it deemed a journalistic internal investigation from the initial stance in 2012, till present day. The policy architect was Theresa May while Home Secretary, alas, no-one computed the numbers then, because Investigative journalism found out the net immigration target ran at 250,000, way beyond what David Cameron imposed as tens of thousands target. What was denoted was an integral part of the Home Office wasn't following Conservative policy et al, alas a self-prophecy of racism was determined, yes it was driven by the then Secretary of State of Home Affairs Theresa May. During May's Home Office tenure everyone was up to speed with the script and she was applauded for it; from the corridor's of power it was deemed a 'well-oiled machine.' In regards to social and morale value it wained somewhat and inevitably leaks would emerge under Rudd's incumbency. Only May is acidly defending the indefensible 'hostile environment,' for the penny hasn't dropped for how the policy is publically perceived in the present media climate. Call it a symptom of the racial contagion present in Westminster, nearing a decade of stripping back bureaucracy, human rights and financial safety nets for the vulnerable in society. Now the fascist's deflective mantra is rhetorically speaking of illegal immigration as a valid reason to implement the 'hostile environment'; without offering a scrap of evidence of knowing what's illegal, due to not possessing the paperwork themselves - by this common denominator we're all illegal citizens and in the proverbial soup.
Every Windrush Generation individual is documented in the National Archives, really? Granted, not one Home Office official spared a thought for this demographic. Worth noting, three heads should roll over this debacle; notably May, Rudd and Nokes - and this is why. Under Section 25 of the Code of Practice of the Immigration Act 2014 it categorically states: "The Secretary of State must issue a code of practice giving guidance to enforcing authorities about the exercise of their functions." As May has full confidence in Rudd who has repeatedly been proven to be publically disingenuous which in turn has disenfranchised herself from the government position in regards to her role as Home Secretary; therefore the Immigration's Act's code of practice has been breached. Nokes her deputy has to be dismissed for being ineffective as a deputy for her role is to brief the Home Secretary of these governmental functions. If there was converse Rudd didn't display it as she was attempting to save her skin not her deputy. In hindsight the issue has grown and it transpires a memo has again proven Rudd is untrustworthy to follow through with standard administrative detail. Yet arrogantly the department speaks of achieving 12,800 enforced returns in 2017-18 target; not only that but has exceeded immigration target of assisted returns.
You'll won't be incorrect to conclude there's signs of a cover up... and it's decidedly ugly. Civil servants do have meetings even though they like you to idiotically think they don't; why your always best to consult with departments prior to talking to senior officials who're generically saving their own careers, More revelations will emerge along the lines of Home Office deleted documents which are in the public's interest, I've crawled up to them to find nothing specific or nothing at all. But the comprehensive devaluation of Rudd as a credible MP and person will unravel further, for example Rudd's self conceived and professed target of 10% annual removal of immigrants from the UK; question mark, question mark. The Operation Perceptor and Operation Gopik programmes are civil servant run, they're not Windrush related, duly because they're operational run from border control not part of the same analogy as over 90% of standard deportation. Rudd and her colleagues are now on damage limitation and purposely warping the illegal immigration rhetoric with every immigration discussion - and worse still the right-wing press are buying into the right-wing mantra of 'illegal process', (In truth it's all in the Immigration Act 2014) --- this is very concerning. Call it fascist spin, there's no other terminology to use. Parliamentarians don't directly get involved with Operation Perceptor and Operation Gopik evaluations, definitely not to deflect from the main Home Office scandal; henceforth, breaching ministerial code via deliberately misinterpret the Home Office's illegal programme formula and claiming it as fact... is a sack-able offence.
First and foremost the enforcement policy i.e. creating a 'hostile environment' engineering targets etc... is coordinated from top down, Zero tolerance in reference to deportation surfaced in the infamous 'Go Home' posters that were rallied about five years ago while Theresa May was Home Secretary. What governmental officials don't want you to know is that they were banned by an Advertising Watchdog for misleading the public with statistics and inciting hatred for ethnic groups... racial orientated hate crimes soured on the back of May's abhorrent poster campaign. UK Border Agency was severely reprimanded for informing an immigration adviser (s) to leave the UK by text message, not many know of the mental abuse and hell bent racism Suresh Grover and Bobby Chan were enforced to endure, at the orders of May in 2013. Injustices laid dormant, their scenarios untold beneath the 'hostile environment' iron curtain. Are we smelling the coffee yet? Sadly, not until the traffic lights change, which as per sual will take too long.
