The direction of travel in regards to dealing with terrorism
under draconian measures is unerring; what initially stoked my interest was the
Prevent program and the imposed ‘new powers’ given to surveillance enforcers. Today, the Corona Virus Bill 2020 leaves us with a loaded
question. When will normality resume? There’s a possibility that the new norm
is here to stay, the old norm of greater liberty is merely a distant memory. Now
anti-terrorism has a different mantra to skip to, the human rights tin lid is
tightly screwed… our chieftain’s semi promise to release the tin lid
every-so-often seems a long way off - alas, our precious lives are on hold –
all devised on a risk assessment approach, which is fit for the toxic chemical
laboratory. Unfortunately our primary children cannot protest collectively with
their felt-tip pen placards this time round.
Normally when aspects of terror is analysed,
interconnected questions arise such as ‘definition’ ‘explanation’, and
‘history.’ Developed threat levels are also reconfigured partly to warn the
public and serves as a gauge for observers keeping us safe. Two main issues
here are [1] Getting the correct terror threat and economic balance. [2] Maintain
the terror threat level over a period of time without adjudicating disharmony
and hysteria. Quite an easy method to relay to an interconnected nation…
signals from the Home Office a few months ago stipulated a severe issue across
Her Majesty’s Government, they had difficulties in prioritizing fear management,
by wasting Prevent program resources
on schoolchildren as an equal threat as terrorists i.e. (Daesh, Far Right) by adding them to a watch list. A truly bad prophecy for things to come
and depicted an incoherent logos. The policy automatically, puts greater pressure
on our system devised to protect us all.
Not only is this close to an impossible task, this
is a depleted service - but this ‘new strategy’ is shifting their numbers,
quotas onto invalid groups of ‘risk.’ Every administration has a galvanised
phenomenon to subscribe to; this is no different to any other department /administration,
apart from another major factor
outside the control of UK’s internal practices. Before our very eyes the corona
virus disease went global, but the UK watched the tsunami of malady rather than
getting prepared for it, this inaction for a handful of weeks could be our undoing;
CoVid-19 has the transmissible, trepidation ingredients to break an already
defunct system.
Even before the global health emergency, the UK’s
self-harming meant that after 31/01/20, our depleted services was a skeleton
from what they were pre 2008, the collapse of the subprime markets. UK’s dependency on Europol Communications directives from the EU27, laid evident for
the CoVid-19 national threat could’ve been valid if the prevention of disease protocol was able to intercept efficiently
via the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). In other
words there was always a plan; however the EU were found to be ball-watching
protectionism in Europe instead of the blatant disease control emergency measures
in Asia -- a state of emergency duped by an indoctrinated political ideology.
To combat the septicity there had to be a
coordinated emergency order, an EU directive instructed by TESSy in Stockholm.
This subsequent disorganized mess basically offered no assistance to the expert
virologists, meaning they’re just making
do with the viral data provided to them, the absence of ECDC as a
collective force to eradicate CoVid-19 has put no pressure on less than
transparent nations who’re systematically transfixed on protecting their Gross
Domestic Output (GDP) the best they can, at the expense of national health,
some say it’s their choice, alas the virus remains rampant, destroying lives and
livelihoods. Therefore, to think we have the luxury of international denunciation
defies comprehension for now its damage limitation on a global scale.
My main apprehension is, after forty-seven years of
having supposed EU authorization through a plethora of surveillance on
mainland Europe, the initial CoVid-19 response was habitually relaxed in
Blighty. The corona virus idiocies of collapsing the economy, delivering loans
rather than grants to UK businesses so they can stay afloat in the short term,
spreading falsehoods on PPE logistics and numbers directly from Central Office –
this is a daily occurrence and proves the UK administration is not fit for
purpose, and the fact Boris Johnson has a majority government is extraneous;
because at present the UK is on the road to hysteria, non-compliance with
social distancing mandates and seismic distress, following in the emerging civil
unrest of our Latin cousins.
Laughable comparisons in my lifetime is the working
observations, practices in combating Y2K Bug also known as the Millennial Bug
in 1999; whereby the scaremongering eclipsed the codec date configuration logic
and doomsters were announcing the end of
time we’ll be going back to the year 1900, when Brunel’s spellbinding civil
engineering and philosophy was still fresh. Of course, hindsight is marvelous,
although I suspect the true cost and judgement is yet to descend on the West,
our archaic constitutions are quaking under a viral attack as well as a
protectionist attack. The UK / US are not equipped socially as the death toll
rises; and this leads me onto the late Edward S. Herman who was an American
economic scholar who illuminated ‘retail terrorism’ the designated violent act
of governance devised to ensure popular submission.
So-called democracies
generically fall for the retail terrorism mantra which is transmitted to the
public by mass media without solemn critique or merriment. Why CoVid-19 is a
peculiar animal, for the invisible threat seems to have unearthed a ‘retail
terrorism’ response, even when the origin of the virus is nebulous - this charms
those who discriminate with selfish interests, and more troublesome with
those with underlying ideological political agendas. Ultimately, explains why
Boris Johnson didn’t join the European Union Ventilator Scheme (EUVS) to
safeguard a nation’s health - i.e. #BrexitBeforeBreathing.
Informants rightly express considerable concern on
governmental priority and this labels all of us. Whether you’re deemed a threat
to society through strong beliefs or have a contrarian disposition there’s now
equal surveillance on all groups regardless if you protest peacefully or not,
see the Corona Virus Bill (2020). Stringent social measures last until 2021,
alas, it is unspecified to when exactly, the Bill etymology adheres to the term
‘temporary.’ Why I am writing this stark warning; the centre-ground has

governmental authorities are morphing into the ‘Thought Police’ and ominously so the concept of permanency is
valid - why? There’s no legislative power / system to remove these draconian
measures; normally coherent policy or sensible people win through -- albeit, of
late the opposite has occurred.
At present, the UK is fighting a battle on two
fronts; [1] CoVid-19 and [2] a protectionist ideology keen on a herd immunity
principle, specifically eugenics on steroids. For those who disagree, consider
this: one major core aspect of truth in regards to retail terrorism is
resorting to buzz words / shibboleth, usually in three words – brevity rules. The act is to stop people from the burden of
independent thought.
